Tony Gilkyson & Rick Shea​ in Concert

TONY GILKYSON was born in Hollywood and raised in an environment of musicians, recording as a boy with his father, Terry Gilkyson, a composer for Walt Disney and a prominent folksinger-songwriter in his own right.  Tony has played and/or recorded with Bob Dylan, Dave Alvin, Alice Cooper, Kris Kristofferson, k.d. lang, Lone Justice, Ray Wiley Hubbard, Sam Phillips, Jimmie Dale Gilmore, Peter Rowan, Larry Hosford, Mark Olsen, Shane MacGowan and X. He has produced recordings for Exene Cervenka and his sister, Eliza Gilkyson. With Tom Waits, Tony co-produced Chuck E. Weiss albums. He has played guitar on numerous film soundtracks, including the Johnny Cash biopic Walk the Line, The Big Lebowski, and All the King’s Men, with producer T Bone Burnett.

RICK SHEA cut his teeth in Southern California honky-tonks and. his songs reflect the folk, country, rock and Mexican influences he grew up with. As a singer, songwriter and guitarist he’s worked with Dave Alvin, Wanda Jackson and R.E.M, among others. His many solo records, (including his latest, Love & Desperation ****MOJO) speak for themselves.

The artists will each play individual sets, and then play together.
