Think of a subtle intertwining of Steve Goodman, John Prine and Tom Paxton. — Real Roots Cafe
We are proud to welcome internationally touring balladeer-songwriter C. Daniel Boling to Kitchen Sink to record an album with a live audience. This is Boling’s eighth album and his third collaboration with friend and producer Jono Manson. The album will be drawn from a matinee and an evening show, featuring new songs and favorites from his catalog. 100% of the proceeds go to the artist to help fund the recording. Each guest who donates $20 or more will receive a signed copy of the album before it is available to the public. Instant crowdfunding!
Boling fit his music around the edges of a 30-year career as a national park ranger and then a criminal investigator for the U.S. Bureau of Land Management. At age 50, he hung up his badge and gun and took to the road full time, playing festivals, listening rooms and house concerts throughout the U.S. and Europe. He is the recipient of many accolades: New Mexico Music Awards Folk Song of the Year; Kerrville New Folk Winner; Woody Guthrie Folk Festival Songwriter Winner; Walnut Valley Acoustic Music Festival three-time Songwriter Winner; Santa Fe Bluegrass and Old Time Music Festival Songwriter Winner.
Ten years after starting his full-time music career, Boling and Manson are excited to capture the magic that can only happen when an audience and an artist collaborate in a live setting through songs and stories. Bring your ears, your voice and your spirit and be part of this live album recording!
Presented in collaboration with Santa Fe Performance Exchange & Kitchen Sink Studio.
